Learn How To Straighten UV Layouts In Blender Without Plug-ins

Game Developer Kasper Arnklit Frandsen explained how the Relax brush can be used to distribute UVs more evenly.

While this is not in any way a secret technique, if you're still learning Blender of UV mapping, Game Developer Kasper Arnklit Frandsen has you covered.

In Blender, you can pin vertices and use the Relax brush to quickly straighten the UV layouts without employing external plug-ins. Simply place the four corners squarely on each island and smooth it out with the Relax brush. Of course, this is a manual method and won't work on a bigger project with more pieces.
