30 Years in the Making: Phil Tippett Released a Mad God Teaser Trailer

Mad God, a stop motion animation sci-fi horror film created by an Oscar-winning VFX artist who's worked on Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and RoboCop, is finally complete and will premiere at Locarno Film Festival in August 2021.

As the creator defines it, "Mad God is an experimental stop-motion film set in a Miltonesque world of monsters, mad scientists, and war pigs." Decades of hard work have gone into the process of creation of the movie as all creatures and environments are handcrafted. The film was shot at the Berkeley studio stage. Phil Tippett is the film director, Blaise Panfalone is the producer behind Mad God, and Chris Morley is the VFX supervisor.

Tippett Studio has also recently shared a short behind-the-scenes video on Twitter where you can see handmade puppets some of which were made for Jurassic Park while the others were definitely created for Mad God.

The first screening of the long-awaited experimental nightmare from Phil Tippett is scheduled for Thursday, August 5. Apart from that, on Friday, August 6, Phil Tippett will take part in a public conversation at the Forum at Locarno Film Festival.
