Pablo Blanes, a talented 3D Material Artist and Texture Artist at Ubisoft Montreal, continues experimenting with procedural materials, unveiling a new impressive setup achieved with Adobe's material authoring software Substance 3D Designer.
This time, the creator presented a fully procedural material based on the Colosseum, a giant amphitheater located in Rome, Italy, with the goal behind the project being to learn more about Substance 3D Designer's procedural capabilities. The author also notes that the entire building consists of a single texture using only Opacity and Displacement Maps, with no modeling involved. Additionally, the creator leveraged Marmoset Toolbag to render the material.
