A New Unreal Engine Tool for Spawning Meshes & Materials on a Spline

Check out Spline+, a new highly-customizable tool that allows you to automatically populate one spline with many actors.

VOYAGER 3D has released a brand new tool for Unreal Engine, designed to make your workflow more convenient by simplifying a sometimes tedious task of populating your scenes with details. Meet Spline+, a high-quality blueprint system capable of taking in meshes, blueprints, and materials and spawning or stretching them along a spline you can easily control.

This highly-customizable tool includes the ability to populate one spline with many actors, thus removing the necessity to place them all by hand and giving you the ability to quickly add detail to your scenes or games. With this tool, it is possible to quickly and easily change the spline mesh's materials, tweak the mobility options, customize collision settings, use either curvy spline math or linear spline math, and more.

Features:

  • Ability to spawn Meshes or Actors
  • Ability to change the mesh's forward axis
  • Spawn multiple different meshes/actors in the same spline
  • Spawn multiple meshes sequentially
  • You can set a gap distance between meshes/actors between their pivot points, or between their bounding boxes
  • Twist amount determines how many times the actor will twist along the spline
  • Ability to spawn the first, middle, and last meshes/actors
  • Ability to add more meshes along the length of the spline, squishing them so they don't exceed the length

Spline+ comes with an example map and basic meshes and is available for both Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5. You can learn more and purchase the tool for $29.99 here.
