A New Version of FluidNinja LIVE for Unreal Engine

The new 1.7 version of the add-on focuses on large-scale environment VFX like water, sand, and foliage.

Andras Ketzer, the developer of the FluidNinja plug-in, a fast and responsive fluid simulation tool for character and environment VFX, announced the release of FluidNinja LIVE 1.7.

According to the announcement video released by Andras, the new release focuses on large-scale environment VFX such as water, sand, and foliage. Besides that, the 1.7 version also brings several new features and improves the existing ones, making the workflow more convenient and user-friendly.

Features:

  • Directly driving volumes, particles, and landscape surfaces.
  • Improved world-space motion.
  • Driving multiple systems with a single FluidSim.
  • Improved simple-mode: draw trajectories without running FluidSim.
  • Niagara 2-way data flow: drive particles via sim/drive sim via particles.
  • Tag-based actor tracking.
  • UE5 support.
