Andersson Technologies Released SynthEyes 2210

The update adds a spline-curve-based color correction tool with a new PrepSet Manager and improves the roto masking workflow.

Andersson Technologies has released SynthEyes 2210 – a new version of the 3D tracking and match moving app.

One of the biggest changes is the new “Kurves” spline-curve-based color correction tool in the image preprocessor, which supports animated control points.

Additionally, a new PrepSet Manager for image preprocessor presets has been added to the Shot menu.

Version 2210 also improves the roto masking workflow: roto splines can now be rotated and controlled as a unit. A new RotoMask button overlays a checkerboard showing which pixels would be assigned to the current Active Tracker Host by the auto-tracker, giving a quick way to check the setup. There are more changes to the workflow, you can find them in the notes.

Other improvements include a new eyedropper button for picking the key color from the camera view in the Green Screen Keying panel, a new Shot/Add Render camera to easily create shot-less cameras for the independent preview renders, and a new command to project 2D trackers onto 3D meshes to form new moving objects.

SynthEyes 2210 cost from $299 to $699 depending on the license.
