Anno 1800 Is Returning to Steam

The game will be available on the platform starting December 8.

At the end of November, Ubisoft revealed that its games that were previously only available via Epic Games Store and the company's own storefront, Ubisoft Connect, are returning to Steam.

When announcing the news, the company mentioned three titles that were on the way to Valve's games distribution platform – 2020's Assassin's Creed Valhalla, team PvP sports game Roller Champions, and a city-building real-time strategy Anno 1800. However, at the time, only the release date of Valhalla was known.

And now, Ubisoft released a blog post where it revealed that Anno 1800 would be available on Steam starting December 8. The game will return to the platform the same day as the New World Rising DLC will launch. In the future, the title will receive updates on Steam at the same time as on other platforms.

Ubisoft removed Anno 1800 from Steam on April 16, 2019, the day it was released. Those who managed to pre-order the game were able to play it after the release.

Other Ubisoft titles have also returned or are returning to Steam – Assassin's Creed Valhalla appeared on the platform on December 6 and Roller Champions will become available on December 13.
