CD Projekt RED Has Not Yet Finished Improving Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 developer Pawel Sasko assured fans that the studio keeps working on the game adding content and doing necessary fixes.

Back in February, CD Projekt Red announced its highly-anticipated patch 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 which includes a lot of major enhancements to the game like AI behavior, re-balanced skills, and new elements to the world. With the release of the patch, the team didn't stop "working on staff" and kept improving the game by adding content and doing necessary fixes.

The news that the additional content is currently in the works comes from Cyberpunk 2077 quest director Pawel Sasko who, in a recent stream, assured the fans that the studio is actively working on the promised major DLC as well as several patches. Although he didn't reveal any details on when the upcoming updates will be released.

"We are working on stuff for you. Like, I'm literally daily reviewing quests, talking to people about stuff, so it is happening," shared Sasko. "I cannot tell you anything about our future plans [...] but I can assure you that we are working on expansions – we're working on stuff for you guys."

Sasko said that the team is glad about the warm reception of patch 1.5. According to the quest director, this provides the studio an incentive to work even harder. However, he also noted that a lack of motivation had never been observed in the team.

Finally, the developer shared that when CD Projekt RED was thinking about the Cyberpunk 2077 storyline, namely the Beauty Never Dies quest, the team was planning to include all the characters from the original tabletop RPG to appear in the video game. Although eventually, the studio didn't figure out how to fit them into the story seamlessly, so the idea was abandoned.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out on PC (via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia. In mid-February, the developers released a major update 1.5, and the latest patch for the game, version 1.52, was released at the end of March.
