Lukas Schneider showcased the capabilities of Obi 7.
Game Developer and Unity enthusiast Lukas Schneider has shared some beautiful slime experiments conducted with Virtual Method's Obi, a unified particle physics asset featuring a group of interconnected plug-ins for real-time simulation of ropes, fluids, cloth, and soft bodies simultaneously.
In these videos, the developer is using Obi 7's GPU simulation with custom shaders built in Amplify Shader Editor. Lukas Schneider also noted that with the particle simulation now utilizing compute shaders in version 7, performance concerns are no longer an issue. Obi uses its own collider components that build upon Unity's colliders.
If you'd like to learn how to use your own shaders with Obi, check out the manual on integrating custom shaders here.
