Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! Is Shutting Down After Less Than Two Years

The mobile game's servers will be taken down on February 16, 2023.

King has revealed that it's shutting down its mobile endless runner Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!. The servers of the game will be taken down on February 16, 2023, and prior to this, starting December 19, 2022, all in-game purchases will be unavailable.

"Crash fans, it’s with a heavy heart that we inform you on February 16, 2023 we will terminate service for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run," the developer wrote. "It has meant so much to bring your favourite Crash characters to life and we've sincerely loved making this game. Thank you for spending your time with us and we hope you will join us in one of our many other games."

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! launched on mobile devices in March 2021, and the last major update for it was released over a year ago – in October 2021.

Players have long assumed that the game would soon be closed, as the developers have not communicated with the audience for almost a year and did not share any news about the development process.

In addition, King removed mentions of the mobile game from its website, and according to players, the title was delisted from app stores. At the time, On the Run's customer support team said this was just a temporary issue and not a sign of the game's closure.
