Creating beach waves is not an easy task, right? It can be quite challenging to get realistic results, but we have a nice guide that might help you. Andrei Ghenoiu has shared a nice video tutorial on generating waves for CryEngine 5.4. The guide will show you how to set up a beach wave object in Blender and Photoshop, create some textures and animate waves.  

Using Blender and Photoshop we create a beach wave object, and use Photoshop to create the textures, and go over the material creation to animate the waves. While not the most ‘splendid’ result I hope this video gives you some insight on how to create some waves.
