Cyberpunk 2077 QA Lead Left CD Projekt Red After 11 Years

A veteran of CD Projekt RED Łukasz Babiel announced the news on Twitter.

A veteran of CD Projekt RED and head of quality control of Cyberpunk 2077 Łukasz Babiel has announced he's leaving the studio after 11 years of service. Babiel confirmed his resignation on Twitter, saying he came to the decision in December last year.

Łukasz Babiel started his career at CD Projekt Red as a beta tester in October 2010. Later on, he worked as a QA specialist and analyst, taking on a broad range of responsibilities, including game balance testing and low-level gameplay bug fixing. The developer was engaged in the studio's major releases such as The Witcher 2, Gwent, and The Witcher 3. From August 2017 to March 2021, Babiel was managing a team as a Cyberpunk 2077's QA lead co-operating with lead producers and studio directors.

The developer didn't specify where he's going to head next after his departure from the Polish company. Babiel’s announcement comes shortly after the design director and principal designer Mateusz Kanik reported he was leaving the company after 15 years. Previously, CD Projekt RED also lost its lead gameplay designer Andrzej Zawadzki and the Cyberpunk 2077 director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz.
