Developer Uses Unity to Create a Drift Angle Indicator

"It's cool, isn't that enough," commented the author on the purpose behind the project.

Developer and Unity C# Programmer Artur Berk has recently shared a brief demo showcasing a cool setup for indicating the angle of a drifting digital car, with the result depending on the angle between forward direction and rigid body velocity.

Powered by Unity, the effect was achieved using World Space Canvas alongside a custom-made shader. Additionally, the author utilized a self-made car controller created for an off-road driving game prototype, with the car's wheels being real rigid bodies with fake soft body physics.
