E3 Will Return in 2023 as an In-Person Event

The event will be resurrected thanks to Entertainment Software Association's partnership with ReedPop.

Entertainment Software Association, the organizing body behind E3, announced that the legendary video game event will return in 2023 in an in-person format. According to the announcement, E3 2023 is to take place in June next year at the Los Angeles Convention Center, making it the first in-person event held by the ESA since E3 2019.

The upcoming E3 will be produced by ReedPop, the company responsible for such videogame and pop culture events as PAX, EGX, Comic-Con, and Star Wars Celebration. The organizers promise "titanic AAA reveals, earth-shaking world premieres, and exclusive access to the future of video games."

"We’re excited about coming back in 2023 with both a digital and an in-person event," commented ESA's President and CEO Stan Pierre-Louis. "As much as we love these digital events, and as much as they reach people and we want that global reach, we also know that there’s a really strong desire for people to convene – to be able to connect in person and see each other and talk about what makes games great."
