Everwild Is Reportedly Viva Piñata-Like

The game has seemingly changed its initial course.

Everwild was announced in 2019 but had to be started anew after Rare lost its creative director Simon Woodroffe. There hasn't been a lot of information since then, but according to VGC's Andy Robinson, now the game is "a bit more Viva Piñata than the survival game the earlier trailers hinted at."

Viva Piñata is Rare's casual life simulator slash gardening game launched in the 2000s. It's not clear what exactly such a comparison entails, but Robinson is sure Everwild will turn out great under the leadership of Gregg Mayles, the studio's current creative director who's worked on Donkey Kong Country and Sea of Thieves.

"The team there will knock it out of the park, I'm certain," Robinson said.

Everwild is cautiously expected in 2024. Are you looking forward to it? Share your thoughts and don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
