Today we’ve learned some very big news about the upcoming Destiny 2. It seems like this game is going to be exclusively available through Blizzard’s battle.net on PC. For those of you, who are shocked, you should remember that the company we are talking about is called Activision Blizzard and it owns Destiny, so everything seems to be in order.
Apart from that Bungie also shared a bunch of details about the game’s modes and gameplay changes. Most of the facts are documented all over the web (check out the article from Game Informer, for example).
Destiny was one of the best art directed games of the last 5 years. If you want to know more about how the game’s visuals were built, check out this article on 80.lv. The environments in the sequel look a bit different. Maybe more on a darker side, but it’s just a start and it’s not clear from just a few images.
It’s good to know that Bungie is still devoted to making the world, that pulls you into the game. This approach greatly influenced the way the company addresses environment building. I’m sure the game will look great, because Jesse Van Dijk is at the helm as the World Art Director at Bungie and Jacob Benton is handling the open world design. Plus there’s a new cinematic campaign, so we’ll see some kick-ass CGI. Can’t wait to see more of this amazing game in action.
