Check out Bring a Spare, a collection of smooth and hilarious Battlefield/Call of Duty-inspired 3D takedown animations authored by Vladislav Zharkov, a talented Cinematic Artist and Sound Designer. Proving once again that reloading is always slower than drawing a new gun, Vladislav's animations, while on par with real video game quality, were only created as an experimental concept, with the author emphasizing that there's "no actual game behind it".
As for the software, the sequence was made using Valve's Source Filmmaker, with motion capture data for the characters recorded with the help of Noitom's Perception Neuron 2. Additionally, Vladislav utilized Mixamo, Motorica, and assets from the Unreal Engine Marketplace to set up some of the additional animations.
"I'm not sure if this idea has been done before, either by other animators or in actual games. If it wasn't, then you are more than welcome to implement it," commented the author. "Ideas cannot be copyrighted, and I'd actually be happy to see a professional take on this one!"
