Game developer Luden.io has unveiled a web-based game where every aspect, from the artwork and story to the dialogues, characters, and locations, has been generated using AI tools like Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and ChatGPT.
Game developer Luden.io has recently released a web game that was entirely created using generative AI apps such as ChatGPT and Midjourney.
The game is titled Generated Adventure and it's a web-based point-and-click adventure that, according to its developers, was made utilizing "all the generative systems we could find." The game's various elements, including the artwork, story, dialogues, characters, and locations, have all been generated with the help of AI.
According to Luden.io's Oleg Chumakov, the team used Stable Diffusion and Midjourney while looking for inspiration and designing various in-game objects, locations, and characters.
As the game was developed for a game jam centered around the theme of "Delivery," ChatGPT was employed to devise a story revolving around returning objects to their rightful owners, within the compact locations they generated. Additionally, ChatGPT was utilized to write dialogues for the game.
The team also leveraged AI for music generation, utilizing AIVA, an AI composing tool, in the process.
Chumakov revealed that the development of Generated Adventure was accomplished within a timeframe of only 72 hours. The developer detailed the entire process involved in creating the game in a blog post, providing insights into each step of its creation.
