Halo Infinite Showed the Best Result in the Series' History

Microsoft announced that 20 million people played Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 had 18 million players. The developers thanked the players for their support.

Halo Infinite's launch became the largest in the series' history as well as Forza Horizon 5 continued to grow the audience. According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, 20 million people played Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 had 18 million players.

Forza Horizon 5 is the open-world racing arcade from Playground Games. Released in November 2021, the game was the biggest-ever launch for an Xbox Game Studios reaching over ten million players in the first week. Currently, the game, according to Microsoft, grew the audience to over 18 million users which is 3 million people more than it'd been in early January.

Halo Infinite is the sixth mainline game in the series that was launched in November 2021. The audience of the sci-fi shooter developed by 343 Industries exceeded 20 million people. This result makes the launch the biggest for the entire series.

Microsoft didn't specify how many of those players actually purchased the game and how many of them just entered a free-to-play multiplayer mode, however, the results are pretty impressive anyway. The developers have already thanked gamers for the warm welcome of the project on Twitter.

Both games are available on PC on Steam and Microsoft Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and are also included in the Game Pass library for PC and Xbox.
