Hidetaka Miyazaki Revealed His Favorite Elden Ring Bosses

He also mentioned that such games as The Elder Scrolls and The Witcher 3 inspired him.

In an interview with Xbox Wire Japan, FromSoftware CEO and Elden Ring Director Hidetaka Miyazaki shared that his favorite boss in the game is Starscourge Radahn.

"As an individual character he's really alluring, and I really like the Radahn Festival situation. There’s a literal sense of festivity and exuberance, but also a unique tinge of sadness and loneliness," said Miyazaki.

He also mentioned that when the Radahn Festival, where various champions battle alongside you against Radahn, was first brought up, "no one on the team took it seriously". His other favorite bosses are Godrick and Rykard.

Elden Ring's success was a surprise for Miyazaki, but the team is not going to change its attitude toward game production.

"We've always made games that we believe are interesting, and we'll continue to do so in the future," he added. "This is the best way to convey our joy and gratitude to our users."

Miyazaki also mentioned some of the titles that inspired him:

"As a user, I played many open-world games called 'masterpieces' and was inspired by each of them. There's no time to name them all, but certainly The Elder Scrolls series and The Witcher 3. In recent years especially, I think The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild should be mentioned."
