Houdini Event on Baking Texture & Masking Maps

Join Paul Ambrosiussen from SideFX on Wednesday, June 26 in LA to learn how you can deal with baking texture and making maps.

This talk by SideFX Game Technical Artist, Paul Ambrosiussen, will show you how the Maps Baker replicates the functionality of the bake_texture node using VEX, all from inside COPs. “Waiting for renders massively slows down iteration times, which is one of the primary reasons the tool was built: fast, high-quality map baking.”

The artist will also answer your questions if you’re interested in tool building, COPs, the Game Dev Toolset, or other topics. It’s basically a great chance to meet the man and learn a trick or two about Houdini.
