In A Sushi Restaurant Norman Reedus Said Yes to Hideo Kojima

"My dude."

As we wait for the release of Death Stranding 2, game director Hideo Kojima has revealed a fun story about how actor Norman Reedus, who played the protagonist Sam in Death Stranding, came to be a part of the project. Interestingly, the partnership began in a sushi restaurant, where Reedus agreed to be part of the game even though Kojima "didn't even have a script" at that time.

Death Stranding, which was released in 2019, is an action game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. This game was the first project from Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after his departure from Konami in 2015.

The sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, is scheduled for a 2025 release and will be exclusive to PS5 players. The first gameplay trailer was launched in February, providing a glimpse into what players can expect. The game, mirroring the original's plot, is set outside the United Cities of America, with players forming connections between settlements to avert humanity's extinction.
