Jack Toth's Jackimorphic Camera Pack Version 1.0 for Blender Cycles Released

The kit uses physical optics in the 3D space to help you bring life and cinematic realism to your renders.

Jack Toth has introduced Jackimorphic Camera Pack Version 1.0 – an optically based 2x anamorphic lens kit for Blender Cycles that uses physical optics in the 3D space to achieve the compression and distortion of cinema lenses in your renders.

According to the creator, the 2x Anamorphic lens kit uses actual optical elements so it has an accurate lens system as well as calibrated curves tied to it that can help you bring life and cinematic realism to your Cycles renders.

"This is a camera setup for people who have used a real camera before... and a real anamorphic lens or want to start learning to take real anamorphic photography/film," Toth shares. "It greatly helps to bring a sense of knowledge to this to make your shots beautiful!"

Jackimorphic Camera Pack includes two camera kits – a single-focus camera and a double-focus camera that can be used for dual focusing the camera and the anamorphic lenses. As Toth notes, the single-focus camera is able to hold 2x squeeze better than the dual-focus camera, although it's a little slower.

The dual-focus camera offers a full-frame camera focal length range starting from 30mm, while the single-focus camera's full-frame camera focal length ranges from 100mm. Toth says that the kit's current settings are for an MFT sensor size (17.3mm) at around 50mm (for dual focus) and 60mm (for single focus) but notes that users can experiment with all the settings.

Version 1.0 includes 1.33x, 1.5x, and 2.0x anamorphic lens sets as well as introduces a standalone 2x WIDE model, with standalone 1.5x and 1.33x WIDE models coming in the future updates.
