Mark Zuckerberg Commented on Apple's Vision Pro AR Headset

Zuckerberg noted that the upcoming headset doesn't offer anything that Meta hadn't "already explored".

During a recent meeting with Meta employees, the company's CEO Mark Zuckerberg commented on Apple's AR headset Vision Pro, unveiled earlier this week at Worldwide Developers Conference, revealing that he doesn't seem to be afraid of a new potential competitor.

Addressing Apple's announcement, Zuckerberg stated that Vision Pro lacks any significant technological advancements that Meta hadn't already delved into. Additionally, he expressed his views on the price of the upcoming headset, highlighting that Meta's forthcoming Quest 3 headset would be considerably more affordable at $499, in contrast to the Vision Pro's hefty price tag of $3,499.

"I think that their announcement really showcases the difference in the values and the vision that our companies bring to this in a way that I think is really important," Meta CEO told employees (via The Verge). "Every demo that they showed was a person sitting on a couch by themself. I mean, that could be the vision of the future of computing, but like, it’s not the one that I want."

Earlier, Apple's CEO Tim Cook also commented on Vision Pro's price tag, saying that $3,499 is a reasonable price due to the device's exceptional engineering and advanced features.
