Mobile Version of Vampire Survivors Surpassed 1 Million Downloads

Downloads on iOS and Androids reached over 1 million in just a week since the game's surprise release on December 8.

A mobile version of the indie roguelike shoot 'em up Vampire Survivors has become an instant hit since its surprise release on December 8 – just a week after its launch, the title managed to achieve more than 1 million downloads across mobile devices.

The news has been revealed thanks to AppMagic data (via MobileGamer.biz) which shows that the game has been installed more than 585,000 times on Android and has over 562,000 downloads on iOS.

Brazil, the US, Russia, Japan, and Spain are the top five countries in terms of downloads on Google Play, according to AppMagic, and on App Store, most downloads come from Japan, the US, Russia, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Vampire Survivors was created by solo game developer Luca Galante, also known as Poncle. It was released in early access back in December 2021 and the full game came out in October 2022 for macOS and Windows.

It was later ported to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in November and, during The Game Awards, the iOS and Android ports were announced – the mobile versions of the title offer players a full game experience for free with optional ads.

The game is also playable offline and, according to the developer, it will also offer the ability to transfer saves over from the PC and Xbox versions of the game in the future.
