More Than 16M People Played Death Stranding

It took around 4 years to reach this number.

On December 14, Kojima Productions released an announcement stating that the company is teaming up with A24, the studio behind an acclaimed movie Everything Everywhere All At Once, to adapt Death Stranding into a live-action film

In the same statement, the company shared that their action-adventure game, Death Stranding, has been played by more than 16 million players. However, there's no update on the number of sales, the one we have is 5 million copies as of 2021.

Hideo Kojima's courier simulator attracted a significant following, largely due to its availability on PlayStation Plus and previous inclusion in the Game Pass catalog. Also, the game was on Epic Games Store twice, though the exact number of people who obtained it from there is unknown.

As for now, Kojima Productions is actively developing Death Stranding 2, the sequel to the first title, which will continue the storyline of Sam Porter Bridges. Furthermore, they are also working on a mystery horror titled OD, featuring famous Holywood actors Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier. Some fans say that OD might be a successor to P.T., or even be a new game in the Silent Hill franchise
