More Than 3,000 People Are Working on Call of Duty

The number was revealed in Activision’s latest annual report to investors.

According to Activision’s latest annual report to investors, the publisher has more than 3,000 people working on  Call of Duty. This number represents about 31% of its total currently employed staff (approximately 9,800 in total).

The number is not a surprise, to be honest, as Call of Duty remains Activision Blizzard's most successful and valuable asset generating millions of sales every year. Earlier, the publisher even decided to shift its Toys For Bob studio operations from making Crash Bandicoot games to supporting the development of Call of Duty Warzone.

The annual report also notes the company is "working on the most ambitious plan in Call of Duty history." They hope a return to the super-popular Modern Warfare series will help them get back to the top. You can find the full report here

The company believes that the underperformance of the game was caused by two factors: the World War II setting and the lack of innovations in the game.
