Photorealistic Christmas Cookies Made With RealityCapture

These delicious Christmas treats were made by Astrid Rotelli.

3D Props Artist Astrid Rotelli has unveiled Christmas Cookies, a collection of tasty-looking photorealistic 3D assets inspired by the ongoing holiday season. According to the artist, the working process behind the collection involved baking real-life cookies, scanning them, reconstructing the high poly meshes with RealityCapture, cleaning the meshes and creating the low poly version and UVs in ZBrush, baking the different maps and additional ones for the roughness creation, and rendering the props in Marmoset Toolbag. Additionally, the creator utilized Megascans assets to create the final composition.

If you would like to learn more about the workflow behind Christmas Cookies, the artist has also shared a small breakdown of the project stylized as a recipe for a real-life dish. You can check out the full breakdown by visiting Astrid's ArtStation page.
