Random Flow: A New Plugin for Blender

Check out Random Flow, a random mesh generator for hard surface prototyping.

A plugin developer Ian Lloyd Dela Cruz a.k.a. Blender Guppy has released a new tool called Random Flow. Random Flow is a random mesh generator designed for fast and easy hard surface prototyping and concept art in Blender. It is a collection of randomizer functionalities that can quickly create random shapes and details from a source mesh. The whole operation is non-destructive with the resulting meshes added to the scene as separate objects.

Features:

  • Random Extrude – generates random extrusions from loop objects to create interesting shapes and details.
  • Random Panels – creates paneling details or extrusions whose height can also be randomized.
  • Random Scatter – randomly scatters objects or collection objects on surface points in the mesh.
  • Random Tubes – generates random tubes on selected faces of a mesh.
