Realistic Baseball Gloves Made With Substance 3D Software

The creator demonstrated how Substance 3D Sampler's recently-added 3D Capture feature can be integrated into Substance 3D workflow.

In case you missed it, around a week ago, Adobe shipped Substance 3D Sampler 4.0, an updated version of their picture-to-3D material tool that, among many other things, added 3D Capture, an awesome new photogrammetry feature, which enabled artists to use real-world images to create 3D objects with automatic subject masking, texture mapping, and geometry decimation.

Demo Artist at Adobe Substance 3D Cino Lai, who regularly demonstrates how one can create stunning artworks using nothing but Substance 3D software, was quick to try out the new scanning tool and integrate it into the Substance workflow.

Equipped with 3D Capture, the artist created a collection of photorealistic baseball gloves, additionally using Sampler for modeling, Painter for texturing, and Stager for rendering, as well as Adobe's Substance 3D Assets library for any additional materials. Below are some of the renders shared by the creator, you can check out more by visiting Cino Lai's ArtStation page:
