Silent Hill Ascension Gets an Official Trailer

The upcoming interactive series is set to release later this year.

The Genvid Entertainment team has shared a new trailer for Silent Hill: Ascension, an upcoming interactive series, being created by Genvid, Bad Robot Games, and Behavior Interactive.

Based on Konami's legendary Silent Hill franchise, the series imagine a world-scale Silent Hill, with multiple main characters being tormented by grotesque and blood-curdling monsters. Since the series is interactive, the audience will be able to determine each character's fate and how the story plays out, with the creators commenting that even they don't know how Silent Hill: Ascension ends. The newly-released trailer provided a look at the series' characters, monsters, atmospheric environments, and an overall audio and visual design of the soon-to-be-released interactive experience.

"Silent Hill: Ascension ‎will captivate audiences with its immersive experience, spotlighting stunning visuals and live community-driven moments, all while exploring the psychological horror that has made the Silent Hill series so beloved by fans worldwide," commented Genvid Entertainment CEO Jacob Navok. "For the first time in the Silent Hill history, the collective audience will be able to influence the story, determining crucial outcomes for the complex, evolving characters in this series."

"Silent Hill fans and horror audiences everywhere have a lot to look forward to," stated Motio Okamoto, a producer of the SH series for Konami. "We are pleased to tell a new interactive story, in never-before-explored locations, alongside new characters that will be introduced to fans of the Silent Hill universe. It is you who will decide the fate of multiple main characters, which will unfold simultaneously around the globe."
