The new tool allows you to create an organic effect of wrapping the rope around your objects in Houdini.
To wrap the rope around your object, the tool needs cutting planes as input, an object you need to wrap, and an optional profile for the rope shape. You can then adjust the rope and control its size, rotate it, alter the degree of twist, etc.
Simple Rope Wrap is included in the free, open-source SideFXLabs toolset in Houdini. This tool creates a rubber band-like rope around your object based on surfaces fed into the first input. You can also run a vellum simulation to achieve a more detailed, realistic look.
