Alexander Weide from Germany showed his amazing smoke done in Houdini 15 at Vimeo, which consists of 41 million particles. Artist states this
Artist states this was just a test for how far he can go with Houdini. He didn’t precache the sequence he simulated and rendered it in one row just for testing. The simulation is said to be built in around 40 minutes in Houdini 15. It also took 4 minutes to render each frame in Full HD. Then Alexander used Blender for compositing.
And some more awesomeness. You can get Hiplc file here.
