Spleen: Hand-Painted Indie Game in UE4

Fight back your adult problems in a new nostalgic part-life-simulator being created by Pamplemousse Games.

This is a mature, emotional story about finding one’s path in life. In the game you will play as Johann, a discouraged young man feeling pressed by responsibilities. You gain the ability to enter the Kid World and fight back the problems as your childhood self. The action takes place in 2 different worlds:

  • Adult World – make decisions that will affect your day, build relationships with family, coworkers, and friends.
  • Kid’s World – fight back against the Spleen and renew hopes and dreams by finding forgotten memories.

“We combine traditional 2D animation and hand-painted watercolor backgrounds to give the game a unique nostalgic look. Although we’re not against using some tricks of technology from time to time!” – says Pamplemousse team.

  • Additional Notes: 1080p, 16:9 recommended

This is the first project for Pamplemousse as a team but the members have been making games already for 12 years.
