Steam Deck Joystick Drift Issue Found

Valve has already shipped a fix for the calibration problem.

Hopefully, you're already enjoying your favorite games on a brand new Steam Deck, maybe even delivered by Gabe Newell himself. However, not everybody is lucky to have the handheld working without a problem: some users reported having joystick drift – an issue when the controller behaves as if you're moving it when you're not.

Thankfully, Valve has already patched this problem by shipping a fix. The company's UX Designer Lawrence Yang said the issue was caused by the recent firmware update and has been fixed with the latest patch.

"The team has looked into the reported issues and it turns out it was a deadzone regression from a recent firmware update. We just shipped a fix to address the bug, so make sure you’re up to date."

The players confirm that the fix helped with joystick drift. There aren't many problems reported, so let's hope it's the only issue with Steam Deck.
