Take-Two CEO Said the New GTA Trilogy Had Only One Bug

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick responded to the allegations of the defects in the new Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition and said that the release was a success.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition in an interview with CNBC, saying that it "has done just great for the company" despite the defects of the game.

Although Take-Two used to claim that it was not going to release games ahead of time, the players noticed numerous bugs and problems at the launch of the remaster. However, Zelnick declared that they had one "glitch in the beginning" and "that glitch was resolved". He also added in response to the allegations of the defects in the new Grand Theft Auto that the trilogy was not really a new game, but "a remaster of preexisting titles".

Zelnick noted that the release showed excellent results for the company, and Take-Two Interactive together with Zynga has incredible plans for the future. "Zynga has an incredible pipeline going forward," he said, "And together, we think we can do a whole lot more than what’s already been announced."

Nonetheless, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was in quite a poor condition: its retail release was postponed for a few weeks, and the Nintendo Switch remaster will be released only this year. In addition, the problematic start was proven by the fact that the players who bought the trilogy on PC received the original versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as compensation.

Grand Theft Auto Edition: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been released on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
