Outfit7, a Slovenian multinational video game developer, best known as the creator of the Talking Tom & Friends app and media franchise, is inviting VFX art students to take part in its internship program.
The studio's internship will provide you with a solid foundation in VFX art. As an intern, you will receive mentorship from experienced professionals and gain valuable insights into the VFX field and the gaming industry. You will also have the opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled team, contributing to current and upcoming game projects by creating visual effects and optimized art assets, manipulating shaders, and more.
The applicants should have:
- knowledge of Unity Editor (particles, animations, timelines, Unity UI), or a similar game engine;
- a basic understanding of and familiarity with Photoshop and Maya;
- knowledge and understanding of Outfit7’s brands (Talking Tom & Friends, Mythic Legends);
- basic shader and C# coding knowledge;
- fluency in the English language (both written and spoken).
If you wish to apply for the program, you'll need to provide a portfolio or reel with examples of real-time VFX showcasing your abilities. Experience working on game projects (personal, demos, game jams) as well as experience in 2D or 3D animation will be a plus. Outfit7 notes that it's required to have a valid student status to participate in the program.
This will be a paid internship position. As an intern at the studio, you will sign a student business cooperation agreement with Ekipa2 d.o.o. (an Outfit7 subsidiary) for a definite period of time, with the possibility of an extension.
