The First Wave of Speakers of ESI London Announced

Esports Insider announces the first speakers and networking events for the upcoming conference.

The industry conference commences with the Hall of Fame on September 5th at the gaming venue Platform in Shoreditch. Following that there will be a two-day takeover of Wembley’s BOXPARK on September 6th and 7th, where the UK’s biggest esports industry event will offer extensive panels and discussions on some of esports’ meaningful topics.

Speakers this year include C-Level executives such as:

  • The CEO of Team Liquid, Claire Hungate, will be discussing how esports teams are forming their identities in an increasingly competitive market
  • Teleperformance Portugal CEO Augusto Martinez Reyes will join a social impact panel, the thriving multi-billion dollar business recently opened a €1.2m esports venue at its HQ and signed a naming rights deal with Benfica
  • The International Sector Director Esports and Gaming, Michael Heina, from YouGov on the state of the UK esports industry

The event will also incorporate exclusive behind-closed-doors-roundtables to enact positive change across the industry. Esports leaders are invited to discuss key topics such as sustainability in esports via the Carbon Neutral Collective, addressing the industry’s carbon footprint and how we can improve.

In addition, ESI London offers a series of networking experiences to help delegates make stronger connections. The 20,000-square-foot venue allows attendees to share drinks and business cards in the three networking zones, as well as get involved in activities like axe throwing, Hotshot pop golf powered by Hotdrop, and VR free roaming. ESI London will also play host to Safe Space, first launched at ESI Washington DC. This is a designated quiet zone powered by WIGI (Women In Games International). In this area, attendees will be able to take a step back from the main hubbub of the event to take a moment for themselves, have a quiet conversation, or get some work done.
