The Wandering Village Developer Branches Out Into Game Publishing

Stray Fawn Studio's first published game will be Earth of Oryn, a city-builder/strategy being created by Edouard Libion.

Stray Fawn Studio, the development studio behind the highly-acclaimed city-building simulator The Wandering Village, announced that they would venture into indie game publishing and unveiled their debut game in the publishing lineup: Earth of Oryn, a city-building/strategy game set in medieval times, being created by Solo Game Developer Edouard Libion and scheduled to release on Steam Early Access in 2024.

According to Philomena Schwab, Stray Fawn Studios Co-Founder and leader of the newly established publishing branch, the success of The Wandering Village, which has sold over 200,000 copies since its Steam Early Access release in September 2022, encouraged the team to expand and start helping other developers to promote their games.

"I've been wanting to do this for many years now, but we never really had the extra resources needed to do so," commented Schwab. "Now we can finally get started and support other devs on their journey. We're hoping to create a transparent, understanding publisher where partners can benefit from each other and grow together."

Earth of Oryn's key features:

  • The beautiful and vibrant low poly art style
  • Build great cities, mighty castles, and bustling towns and establish laws to guide them all

  • Run your kingdom how you see fit, creating your own politics, laws, and culture
  • Discover new creatures, biomes, and civilizations by exploring new, untouched lands
  • Create your own world, tweaking everything to your liking in creative mode
  • Use prefabricated buildings, or create your own models from the ground up
