Tutorial: Avatar-Style Water Bending Effect in Unity

Become the master of water in Unity with this new tutorial.

Check out a great new tutorial from A Bit Of Game Dev channel on YouTube discussing the creation of Water Attack VFX in Unity. The effects, inspired by the Avatar: The Last Airbender series, were made using Shader Graph and C# scripts. It covers 3 water effects: Water Ball, Water Bend, and Water Tube.

The artist noted that these effects can be used in games, and are all made using the Universal Render Pipeline. You will learn how to set up a water ball, deal with normals, create a dissolve effect, and more. In the end, you will then be able to create variations and change individual elements.

You can get the project files on GitHub. Also, check out the author's Twitter page for more. Don't forget to join our new Reddit pageour new Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we are sharing breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.

Marvelous. I'm not familiar with VFX but want to try it. Thank you for the inspiration.
