Using A Photoshop Neural Filter To Enhance Skyrim Visuals

Let's hope this technique can soon be used in real-time.

A Reddit user legoalpha321 presented a cool experiment with Skyrim, the legendary game that has just turned 10. The fan has been playing with Photoshop's Neural Filter (Landscape Mixer) and eventually decided to apply the filter to Skyrim's gameplay to generate landscapes that feel more real.

"Using EB synth, I was able to process every 48 frames to create this video. I love how the AI filter is able to create landscapes and textures totally unique from the polygons and repetitive textures of Skyrim," wrote legoalpha321

The Reddit user also noted this might be the next step for video game graphics. It took around 3 hours to process all the frames on an iMac, but we're sure this can all be done in real-time in the near future.
