Using Ray-Ban Stories and EveryPoint for 3D Modeling

EveryPoint's Jonathan Stephens has demonstrated how to create a 3D model of a brick wall just by looking at it.

Each passing day it's getting more and more obvious that we live in a truly fascinating timeline. No longer do we need to create 3D models ourselves, all that is needed is the right tools and software. Jonathan Stephens from EveryPoint has demonstrated an interesting combination of Facebook's Ray-Ban Stories and EveryPoint's scanning abilities to create great and realistic 3D models.

For those who don't know, EveryPoint is a tool that allows you to extract intelligence from imagery. You can generate amazingly clean point clouds from imagery collected via iPhones, drones, or any other image source. Since Facebook's recently shipped Ray-Ban Stories can take photos and videos, the combination of these two can generate realistic 3D models just by looking at an object you want to scan.
