Luc Chamerlat has shared a quick timelapse of his creature made with Substance Painter 2019.1 using tesselation and displacement. The video shows a nice way you can use to add details.

The artist worked on this project in his free time to test the latest features available in Substance Painter 2019.1. Please note that everything is rendered directly in the viewport.

The goal here was to deal with the main shapes inside of Zbrush and then add little details using tessellation and displacement inside of Substance Painter. “There is only one texture set, the resolution is 4K (running smoothly with my Geforce 1080 GPU).”

Сhamerlat is now trying to rig it inside of Blender. The artist also wants to write a small breakdown soon.
