Watch Netlifx's Avatar TV Series Digital Environments Breakdown Reel

Take a look behind the scenes of Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender with Pixomondo's visual effects work and their mastery of building environments.

Witness the magic of building digital environments in a new breakdown reel from Pixomondo, a VFX studio behind various effects for Netflix's live-action adaptation of the famous Avatar: The Last Airbender animation series.

"Across the scope of the series, we worked on 4 or 5 times the number of environments we normally would on a show.

Many of the big environment sequences were shot in our LED volume In Vancouver, which allowed us to use interactive lighting for seamless compositing of the actors into their worlds in VFX", commented Goran Backman, VFX Supervisor.

Pixomondo was also instrumental in developing the style and effects of the Fire Nation and has shared a stunning VFX firebending reel for the Avatar TV series:

If you're interested in seeing the studio's other work, check out their reels on visual effects for John Wick: Chapter 4, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Halo TV series, and many more.
