Previous versions

Wizix has previewed PlugIt 3.0 – a tool for Maya that allows adding details when working on hard surface models. The new version is rewritten from scratch and offers a new UI along with several changes.

First, there are no size constraints anymore, plugs work on any face count selection, clean or N-Gon topology. You also don't have to set the right bridge offset value after the plug insert, the add-on will do it for you automatically, adjusting the topology when you move the plug.

As for other changes, the creator introduced a Plug Manager to help you organize your plugs and three plug placement modes.

There is no release date for PlugIt 3.0 yet, but Wizix said it is 80% completed. You can pre-order the tool to get it for $30 instead of the $40 you'll have to pay when it's launched.
