Working With Mixed Reality in Unreal Engine 5

Daiki Taniguchi shared a couple of demos showcasing some new experiments with XR in UE5.

Research Engineer and AR enthusiast Daiki Taniguchi, a.k.a. kidachi, has recently presented a couple of new demos showcasing the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5 when it comes to mixed reality projects.

Using the engine's AR framework, the developer has managed to set up an awesome-looking ink-painting simulator that enables the user to turn real-life scenes into Splatoon arenas and cover the environment's walls, floor, and objects with colorful paints. Furthermore, the author demonstrated how artificial intelligence could be utilized to modify the environment before implementing it in XR.
