Celestial Temple was inspired by the "Trembling of the Ancients" concept art by Kirill Isaev. This remarkable artwork played a significant role in shaping the scene. The concept art depicts grand ancient ruins, standing solemnly amidst tranquil waters. As the sun’s gentle rays touch the broken stones, they glow with the memories of a forgotten civilization. The ruins and columns, though worn by time, still carry the weight of history.
One of the challenges encountered in this scene was striking a balance between preserving cinematic details and aesthetic lighting while ensuring full optimization for most devices.
“Explorers venture into a celestial temple from a long time ago in a mysterious world. The temple's majestic columns, embellished with age-old writings, create an exciting atmosphere. Featured are the remains of ancient ruins and statues. The meticulously designed environment includes dynamic lighting, authentic ambiance, and background music to fully immerse you,” stated the artist.
The project was created in Unreal Engine 5.3.2, utilizing the powerful Quixel Megascans assets and the Valley of the Ancient package by Epic Games. The Temple of Sun package from the Unreal Marketplace was also used, along with the EasyFog plugin by William Faucher to enhance the scene with beautiful fog cards.
