This week, we would like to highlight this amazing experience by talented 3D Modeller, Rajib Hassan. Explore and wander through the streets of this stunning Chinatown neighborhood, where the rain falls, and the vibrant neon colors of the lively shops illuminate the night!

Rain in Chinatown was inspired by the creator's experience living in an Asian country with vibrant colors and a crowd of active, happy people everywhere. Every corner and road is filled with shops, offering colorful variations of many things. This vibrant environment provided abundant inspiration, leading to the desire to create an Asian Chinatown scene like this.
“Additionally, I got inspiration from the game Cyberpunk. At that time, I was thinking about a subject for my mentorship project in the Think Tank Training Centre. The challenge was to create a lot of things in a very short time, and the final look of the scene had to resemble a vibrant, colorful Chinatown. Finally, with the help of my mentor, we changed the concept a lot and made a feasible pre-production plan for it” stated the artist.
Players can explore this stunning small environment with close proximity in night lighting. They will experience a variety of colorful elements and vibrant signs of life, along with a rainy or post-rain atmosphere in the streets of Chinatown.
Maya and ZBrush were used for modeling, Substance Designer and Substance Painter for texturing, and Photoshop for additional texturing work. Unreal Engine 5 was used for level art, scene setup, materials, lighting, and rendering. This game was built using Unreal Engine 5.
