Technical Artist: Interior Environment (All Levels) at Rockstar Games

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A relevant degree or professional experience in the game industry as a Technical Artist or similar/related position from industries such as Film/VFX.
  • In the absence of the above; videos or an online portfolio with relevant examples of your work will be required so we can assess your skill set.
  • Experience with C# and .NET Core/Framework
  • Understanding of application design and development.
  • Experience working with WPF, XAML, and the MVVM pattern.
  • Ability to write tools within DCC packages or standalone.
  • Understanding of using DCC packages for authoring game Art.
  • Keen diagnostic skills to analyse problems and identify solutions.
  • Comfortable coding in modern IDEs and debugging.
  • Strong communication, self-management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work within a schedule and deliver effectively to deadlines.

  • 3+ years professional experience in the game industry as a Technical Artist or similar/related position from industries such as film/VFX.
  • An online portfolio showing relevant examples of your work.
  • Experience using 3DS Max.
  • Strong knowledge of C# and/or Maxscript.
  • Experience using game engines (e.g. Unreal/Unity or proprietary tech).
  • Can demonstrate creativity and technical ability within the constraints of console development.
  • Strong team spirit and innate ability to collaborate closely with others.

Unity Technical Artist at Konami Gaming

Konami Gaming is looking for a Unity Technical Artist to join our team!

This position is responsible for blending artistic expertise and technical ability, to create visually stimulating content that will enhance game playability and showcase original experiences to a wide player audience. The Technical Artist fits in between the technical team and the art team and enables the highest quality artwork to be implemented in games, while ensuring all technical requirements, including overall game size, are met. Working collaboratively with game studios the Technical Artist strives to provide improvements for tools, workflows, and process within a Unity-based development environment.

What we want you to have:

  • Bachelors degree in Graphics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience. 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining tools and writing scripts within the Unity development environment. 1+ years of experience working with cross functional development teams creating multimedia rich games, ideally slots products for the Core or Premium markets. 2+ years of related experience in the field of game production as a game artist or engineer.
  • Experience with C# and Unity based slot development.
  • Gaming experience preferred.

Principal Procedural Technical Artist at Santa Monica Studio

Santa Monica Studio is seeking an experienced Procedural Technical Artist for the development of a new unannounced title!

Requirements:

  • Minimum ten years of professional experience in computer-generated art

  • Proficiency in Maya, Photoshop, and Unity, with experience automating tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python)
  • Technical skills in 3D art production, rigging, and animation
  • Knowledge of industry-specific tools and best practices
  • Resolving animation and rigging issues
  • 6+ years of experience in game development with a focus on 3D art pipelines
  • One or more shipped mobile titles
