3D Environment Artist Cloviren's Nanite foliage, which has full geometry and no alpha mask material, just got updated.
We're back with another gorgeous grass asset today, this time for Unreal Engine users, evoking the classic beauty of the default wallpaper of Microsoft's Windows XP.
Developed by Cloviren, this grass can be used for real-time rendering and game development, offering character and object interaction, micro/macro color variation, and global Wind Control. It's fully geometry-based, with no alpha mask used, and optimized for Nanite.

It also features 5 base grass heights, dead grass, and bushes, along with customizable grass colors. You can adjust the colors of the body, edge, stem, top, bottom, or the entire leaf. Additionally, there's a lightweight wind system with a vertex color mask.
The wind gust system allows you to use your own image as a wind pattern, with adjustable wind speed and direction. Grass will bend in the direction of the wind, and there's also a grass breeze system with customizable wind gust color and brightness.
With the most recent update, grass density has been increased, and grass will no longer disappear at a distance. Cloviren also added subsurface scattering, along with improved grass lighting. The wind breeze system has been enhanced, making grass movement more natural and grounded, with reduced deformation. Additionally, adjustable breeze interval parameters are now available to control the frequency of the breeze.
